And a dish towel apron. It's a Martha Stewart towel, which makes it nice and sturdy.
Five tissue pouches to go along with some zippered pouches (yet to be sewn) that our church is going to donate to a local nursing home for their bingo prizes. These were made entirely from my scrap basket.
And look at this lovely little bingo bag that Karyn sent me. It's adorable. And the bingo card is so tiny and dainty. The overall bag is only about 4x4". (I found the bingo cards for her at the beloved Swap Shop.) They would be fun to make for the bingo prizes, huh? I don't think I'll get around to that much embellishment.

Nor do I know how this little man turned 5 months old (yesterday). Five! See his two big teeth on the bottom?
Or this young man, my firstborn, could possibly be ten years old. Sporting his Weeblo uniform and his scowl, while holding his cake for his Blue and Gold Banquet. (The theme was "Cubs around the world." We made a black forest cake and decorated it with German flags and scouts. Apparently I'm getting lots of hits on my blog for Blue and Gold Banquet foods and desserts.)
Maybe we've spent the time baking blondies in the Easy-Bake Oven.
Life is busy. Life is fun.

It's called "Would You Rather."
Would you rather ... take an hour flight from Massachusetts to Baltimore or have someone who just had eye surgery less than two weeks ago drive you from MA to MD?
Because apparently, as of this morning, Joe is flying to MA on Friday to drive a colonel to Maryland.
I made this little diaper/wipe carrier before Joe's surgery. I used this free pattern. It was very easy and sewed up quickly. Instead of using velcro, I used a button and ribbon closure. I'm not much into velcro.
I think if I make this again, I would make it a little wider. The travel wipe container that I use fits a little snug in there. (And one doesn't fit at all.) And wipes are important when you have two in diapers. Especially one being a small infant who is breastfed.

During cleanup, Spenser would take two buttons and "clink" them together before placing them in the glass jar. It was pretty funny.
I haven't had a lot of crafting time lately. I made this skirt a few Fridays ago. I know I promised to use another pattern (Simplicity 5505) than the last ten or so I've made, but I wanted a quick and easy skirt to wear to church.
When I started the skirt, Sawyer was sleeping. He woke up while I was feeding the elastic through the casing. I pinned the elastic together and went to tend to him. A few hours later, when I returned to the skirt, I had forgotten that I hadn't sewn the elastic and stitched the opening closed. When I couldn't get the elastic to distribute evenly, I realized I had sewn the safety pin inside the casing! Oops!
For Valentine's Day I made Joe a pillow. It is small and stuffed with micro-beads. (Which is a serious pain in the neck! Those beads are horribly static-y and made a terrible mess everywhere! It was a labor of love, I tell ya.) The pillow is white satin and the pillowcase is Alexander Henry's Bangles.
(This morning Joe and I were laying in bed with Sawyer. Sawyer reached up and accidentally poked Joe in one of his sore eyes! I felt so bad for Joe. He was in so much pain.)

Things have been hectic. Joe was out of town Thursday through Sunday. Sawyer was sick since about then off and on. I thought he was getting better, but I was wrong. Joe had eye surgery on Monday (at Walter Reed Army Hospital) and had a followup appointment on Tuesday. A lady (a stranger) walked up to me on Tuesday to tell me that Sawyer was wheezing. Huh??? Really?????
When we came home yesterday, Spenser had strange discharge coming out of her ear, which reminded me of when my eardrum burst. We took her to the doctor, and they listened to Sawyer's breathing. He was wheezing and gave him a breathing treatment, then sent him for a chest x-ray, and then to the local emergency room for pnuemonia! He received another breathing treatment there and has to have them at home for the next few days. The pharmacy did not receive the faxed prescriptions from our doctor's office and the office was closed last night when I left the hospital. It's snowy and icy. The kids had a snow day yesterday and an "ice day" today (according to Mason, 4). Joe's eyes are killing him. And I feel like a bad mom for not knowing my littlest love was sick. I thought he was getting better. Happy Valentine's Day. I think mine's turning into a Crappy Valentine's Day.

Did I mention it's a snow day? I may be sending S.O.S. signals today!
