Earth Day Legs

Earth Day is coming! Are you ready?

I found some cute little Earth Day socks at the store a month or so ago and decided that Spenser just needed another reason (or not) to have some more legwarmers to add to her collection. This is one of two pairs that I made for her, although Sawyer is the one modeling them this time. With his cute little piggies and rolled-up camo pants.

And in celebration of Earth Day, we have an extra pair to give away. Just leave a comment on this post today and I will pick a name Tuesday (Tuesday as in tomorrow) morning. If you have anything earthy to say, or any tips on how to be kind to our earth, I would love to hear it, although it is not mandatory when commenting.

Legs details:

These are shorties compared to my usual legwarmers. They are not the knee-high socks I usually use, so they will fit a younger/smaller child. They are comparable to the ones she wore on St. Patrick's Day. I would guess that they would fit a child up to age six or so, depending on the length of the child's legs. I also picked a pair that I considered unisex.

Thank you for playing. The winner of the Earth Day Legs is:

The best thing I did after Earth day last year was to stop using paper towels. Holy moley we were using a lot of those things.I LOVE that you have the leg warmer fever. Jack adores them still!

Congratulations, Sarah. I think I have your address around here somewhere!

I have been meaning to make those...I have the socks and everything. Hmm....earth comment....even recycling a little bit is helping. That's what I tell myself and husband, anyway.

I am all for recycling. it bothers me when packaging that I think should be recycleable doesn't have the little symbol on it, so it has to go in the garbage! yikes. save the earth!

Just have to say how cute your earth day legs are! I don't want them, because I have no-one small enough to wear them, but they are so cute. We recycle everything we can, but my favourite good-for-the-earth thing at the moment is repurposing. A couple of years ago I made trek costumes from repurposed clothes and sheets from the op-shop. This showed me that whilst fussy teenagers are not really into op-shop clothes, if I take the time to alter them they love them! Some of the op-shop shirts that I updated became favourites that were worn constantly!
