Repurposed: Shower Curtain Skirt

Yes, it's true. This skirt was once a shower curtain. And I think whoever made the shower curtain, made it from a vintage sheet.

When I first found the shower curtain, I wasn't quite sure what it was I found. I thought it was a sheet. Then I saw weird hemmings and thought it was a curtain. And then I noticed all the buttonholes at the top. I didn't care what it was. I was in love with the shabby chic-ness of it and it was coming home with me. So this sheet has been repurposed twice now.

The skirt is another Simplicity 7229. So very simple. And my girl has requested a matching one "so we can be twins."

So, what's the count? I think it's three new skirts so far this spring.

Very nice. That is really pretty fabric.
matching skirts will be cute!

Adorable! I love the the soft pink. Very feminine. Repurposing is the best. Helps the environment and uses a little extra creativity. Great work!

Hey there, Fraulein Maria! Nice skirt. Shower Curtains, Bedskirts, Tablecloths... nothing is safe around you, is it? LOL Next up you will be dressing all the kids in your living room curtains!!!

I'm kidding, of course. I do the same thing. We've been watching the Sound of Music around here a lot and Jay always gives me The Eye and a chortle when it comes to that part of the movie....

Peas in pod, we are... or cut from the same cloth?? (only what kind would that be??? A pillowcase? A dust ruffle? A placemat? Too hard to tell!)

Also. How much tinier can you get?

Ok, now I'm done.

Does that mean you can wear it in the rain?

Good job, doll. You're the ultimate repurposer.

I love it. Too bad my tummy won't look as spectacular in one I make as your tummy looks in yours!

I loved your napkins too. I love that rolled hem feature too.
