During my brief hiatus, we had a lot going on with the boys and cub scouts.

Jackson earned his Wolf.

Carter earned his Religious Knot, Webelos, and ...

The Arrow of Light.

Both boys have been working very hard on their scout stuff and we are very proud of them.

And Taylor, my almost 13-year-old, is finishing his last merit badge required for Eagle. He is just one project away from being an Eagle Scout.

(It helps that Joe is an Eagle Scout, which he earned as a 13- or 14-year-old. You would think after three boys in scouting, I'd know what I'm doing. But I don't. I have a lot to learn before Mason and Sawyer are old enough to join.)

That is awesome that Taylor is so close and at such a young age! Great job!

You'd think that after being on the Cub Committee and in the Primary presidency I'd have a clue, too, but I don't. DH does most of the scout stuff with my oldest (who almost is done with his Bear!)

Wow! An Eagle at 13 - that's amazing! And, not insignificantly, very very cool.

When I found out my Bubba was an Eagle Scout after being with him for nearly 5 years (he's kinda modest), I think it even made me like him more.

Because suddenly it explained so much!

Like, how he knew how to build the perfect campfire, find due north, tie any knot, eat berries without dying - you know the drill.

Anyway - congrats to the boys on their scout work - it's still such important stuff.

That's great how active the boys are in Scouts. And Eagle at that young age, like everyone else says--VERY impressive!
