Tutu

Halloween costume preparations are now in full swing.

After changing her mind a half dozen times, this little girl wants to be a ballerina. This week, that is.

She helped me make a tutu from a quick and easy no-sew tutorial.

I call it a success. At least the tutu is. Getting a good photo of the tutu? Not so much.

And speaking of tutus, I found this hilarious set of photos while searching for the tutorial. Reminds me of the tiara craze from a year or two ago.

Tutu notes: The tutu took 6 yards of off-the-bolt tulle for a waist of 20 1/2".

DD would LOVE that tutu, and I suspect DS too LOL. I think I will have to try doing one up some day too.

AHHH, the costume preparations....what an exciting time of year! She looks adorable in her little tutu. I hope she doesn't change her mind too many times before the big day/night. :):):)

Very cute!

Great photos too, I especially like the last one.

Is she allowed to change her mind now?

Those pics have captured the real essence of tutu wearing. :-)

I was up until midnight armed with a bag of fabric daughter had bought and a drawing. Ha ha haha. Insane laughter but I pulled myself together and got the main stuff done by midnight. Just little details like a button and buttonhole and a tiny bit of handsewing.

Sympathies with your back- I've been grounded since pulling mine on Friday and only got out for a walk today.

I love this tutu photoshoot! I'd print some and frame them together in a series. Fun.

That flickr set is great! Maybe if I wore a tutu I wouldn't mind the mopping. hmmm.
