In my usual Lera way, I made it a teensy bit too big. I need to make the elastic in the neck shorter so it stays on her shoulders better. And it seems very wide. And short. At the same time. I think I might lengthen the next one I make (and do the sleeves differently, too).
I used some multi-colored polka dot fabric. (I think it's Alexander Henry Pop Dots.) I've had it in my stash for a couple of years. I thought the fabric would be very versatile with all the different color dots. Now I'm thinking it looks like a clown's shirt.
What do you think ... cute? or clownish?

Have a great weekend. I have my first 5K tomorrow morning! Yikes!

Cute! Possibly clownish on a hanger, but definitely cute on your little sweetie! Nice job!
I'm sure it won't be so clownish with jeans. Good luck on your run.
Good luck with the run. I like the shirt, but I'm not in love with it... I'm sure it looks better on Spenser than on the hanger. :o)
Definitely cute (unless you pair it with oversized shoes or a red nose ;) )
I think it's cute!!
Good luck on your race. Run like the wind!!!!!!!!
cute not clownish. dots would have to be bigger and same size to be clownish.
Would have NEVER thought clown unless you mentioned it- very updated classic little girl. Makes me wish I had a daughter to sew for- boys' clothes are so boring! Good luck runnin'!
Clown never popped into my head, I think it looks just fine!
Good luck tomorrow :)
I think its absolutely adorable!!
Cute!! Definitely cute!
I think the shirt is cute! I can't wait until its my turn to make cute little girl clothes ~ sigh..maybe someday!
Good Luck on your run! I hope to do a 5k at some point during the summer. I guess that means I better go dust off my running shoes, eh?
Definitely cute :) Just tutes has a peasant shirt tutorial I've been meaning to try out for Ernie...if it doesn't work, now I know which pattern to go pick up! Thanks for sharing, and good luck on your run!
Not the least bit clownish, Lera.
It is kind of a full top, and I usually cut mine a little on the long side, just in case. Fidget is long waisted, so I always adjust for that anyway. What happened with the arm casing? I'm so curious about what got your motor running.
Good luck tomorrow! xo
Well, I would like to vote cute, but I cant possibly vote without seeing it on her. :-)
OMG - SO CUTE! I love the fabric choice. Don't feel that it looks clownish. I would probably pair it with simple, solid color pants, though. ;-)
Definitely CUTE! Are you running in DC tomorrow? Two of my friends from my ward are driving out to run in DC tomorrow - good luck!!
I think it looks adorable!
hi, love the shirt but I really really love your totes! I am a bag fanatic so that explains it...
I found your blog thru someone else's now I love it.
best wishes, Starry
That shirt is precious.
Are you kidding? Very very very cute!
i didn't think clown until you mentioned it. i think you should cut the elastic off and make it a regular, hemmed sleeve. then absolutley no clown.
Very cute...of course! :) I have a few questions to ask you as well....can I e-mail you?
definitely CUTE!!! what size did you make again?
