Fighting the February Funk - Day 3

Soapmaking. Well, actually the melt & pour variety. It's much safer for little ones than using lye. And quicker, too.

Each child picked his/her own scent, coloring, and bug/lizard/butterfly for his/her own bar of soap. (We have green apple, strawberry, coconut, and strawberry-green apple. My hands smell yummy. No one wanted eucalyptus or the other scents I have.)
They are anxiously awaiting for their bars to cool and harden.

Did I mention it's a snow day? I may be sending S.O.S. signals today!

Wow, 6 kids and you had time to make soap. I am impressed. I have two and always groan when they ask if we can make some. I have no excuse, tomorrow we too shall make soap!

Look at those soaps! What fun! Is everyone feeling better? I forgot to mention in my last comment that I got a horrible stomach virus after visiting the ER a few years ago. I'm glad they have emergency rooms, but they are germ farms!
