Little Old Man Shorts

It was circa 1984 when my sister, BFF and I started hitting the thrift stores. We always headed to the men's department first. For boxers and shorts. And trench coats. We were never disappointed.

Anyway, it was about that time when my sister scored a fabulous pair of men's shorts that were orange and yellow and brown (I think) plaid. They were the best. Of course they were too big for our waists, but we had a special way of making them fit. We would take the hook part of the hook and eye and hook it to the belt loop. Oh how I loved those shorts. And, luckily, we were about the same size so I wore them a lot.

When I was thrifting lately, I saw a pillowcase that instantly reminded me of those beloved shorts. I knew it had to be mine.

Or at least Sawyer's for when he is stealing his sister's baton.

Just indulge me, buddy, I promise not to dress you like a 70-year-old man for long.

Where does she get this?!?

This is off the beaten path, but I was wondering if you cut your sons hair? I have a 15 month old, and have had to cut his hair about four times already. My husband says that I always give him side burns because I leave the sides to long. Really it’s because I don’t know how to cut around his ears. Your son’s hair looks really cute, and I was wondering if you had any suggestions on cutting it or picking a good kid barber if you didn’t.

My brother had those sheets on his bed in the 70's. That was the first thing I thought of when you posted your thrift haul the other day. ;) Nice shorts. And I didn't even bother to hit the thrift store for my old man yellow/brown plaid shorts. I just raided my dad's closet.
Cheers!

**LISA**

We had Sawyer's hair cut professionally the first time (at a local barber shop in our little town). My husband has been cutting his hair since

We have a pair of electric shears/razor and he goes to town. He cuts all of our boys' hair. I was reluctant to let him touch Sawyer's, but he snuck it in. He might use blade 4 on top and 2 on sides, maybe. If you are interested in the exact details, email me on my sidebar and I will ask him.

I love it! How cute! Now, you aren't making him wear them up to the arm pits, right? So it's not making him dress like a 70-y-o- man. :)
