Won't You Join Us?

After making my candy corn tote, other candy corn projects kept coming into my mind, using the white, orange and yellow color scheme. Amandajean and I exchanged numerous emails this weekend with great excitement of all the things we could make. (Go check out her candy corn quilt!)

One thing led to another and we decided to host a Candy Corn Contest. We are extending an invitation to you.

Don't sew? That's fine. You can use any medium your little heart desires. Paint. Buttons. Scrapbook paper. Yarn. Photographs. Fabric. Polymer clay. Beads. Your imagination is the limit. You can enter one project or twenty. The more the merrier.

There will be a flickr group to add your photos. But, that's not all. There will be prizes at the end. Candy corn related prizes. (Isn't that incentive enough?)

The contest will run October 1st - October 30th. You can join/enter projects anytime prior to the 30th. We will pick a winner (or winners) on Halloween, October 31st.

Won't you join us? Let us know if you're in.

of course you know I'm in (way over my head, that is!) your pillow is crazy cute. your patchwork is awesome. I Love the bits of chenille in the mix.

Okay, that pillow is adorable! My husband is a huge candy corn fan, and I can't stand it! Every year he buys a big bag that sits and sits in our cupboard (he usually eats a few pieces, as he's very health conscious) then eventually I throw it away a few months later. I love your idea. I'm swamped with projects for the moment, so I won't be able to participate, but I'll see if my kids are interested. It certainly won't be as pretty as your pillow though!

I sssoo want to participate but I just took my machine in for a service yesterday :(

I have a whole line of commissioned quilts ready to go when I get my machine back, but I'll see if I can squeeze in some candy corn love in between! :)

Sounds like fun. Can I let you know in a day or two? I happen to be swamped right now, but I'll see if I can fit it in since I have about 20 ideas for this contest.

I was so happy to find your blog via amandajean. When I saw the picture of your kids I had to write because we have five kids, 4 boys and one girl. We also have a Jackson and a Mason! They are a lot older than yours though. We live in Massachusetts. I wonder if you get the same kind of surprise/shocked reactions when you tell people how many kids you have like we do! Around here it is quite the anomoly. Your candy corn projects are really cute. I love the tote.
Take care,
Elisabeth

Okay, I want to do this too! I don't know why, because I have never seen a piece of candy corn in my life! (What does it taste like? Or are we just going for the look? Lol!)

Oh Lera once again you have inspired me! I couldn't sleep at all last night thinking of how to make what was in my head! Well I did it today. It is one Candy Corn I like! I am joining the contest now. I have it posted on my blog, but as soon as I figure Flickr out I will put it there too :)
