Tea Cups

I have been wanting to collect a few miscellaneous teacups and saucers for Spenser's upcoming birthday party this year (well, actually not until November, but I like to get a head start on these things). I decided that each time I go thrifting, I would look for a set. Somehow yesterday I managed to find six!

They are all so dainty and darling. Some made in Japan. Some in China. One in England. I think I'm off to a good start!

Great find! I've been slowly collecting them for my own daughter for her birthday next year (literally ... it's a year away). My friend gave me the idea of a teddy bear picnic or a little tea party and using those as the give-aways. Can't wait to see what you're going to do with them!

My favorite is the tiny set in the background!

Is this a tradition? Gifting tea sets for daughters?

I saw 2 sets the other day at Goodwill if you're interested. I will get them for you, if there still available.

very nice. I have a little tea cup collection of my own that came from my grandma's. I've been meaning to put up a display shelf for them for years - but then they would just need dusted, so in the cupboard they stay.

How is the sheet supply?
Cheers!

If you can't figure it out, you might hit up michelle's husband. I am sure he has one of these in his collection.

How I wish you were closer... I have a whole collection that my grandmother started for me as a little girl. I have about 10 cup/saucer sets! (You've got a great start though... )

Six cups and saucers in one trip may just be a record! Very nice. I started a pink and green teacup collection about 6 years ago. It's a great feeling when you find just the right cup to add to your collection. I try to have an annual tea with girlfriends. It gives us the perfect excuse to wear pearls and cameos.

Ooh a tea party. I used to love having them. Still do. I have teacups from Mexico, England and Japan that I've collected over the years.

Maybe my girlfriends and I need a nice Sunday afternoon teaparty.
