Vintage Dress II

Here is Vintage Dress II. Just like the last dress, this one was too large and I had to alter it to fit me.

But there's one problem. I didn't try it on without clothes on underneath and, after all was said and done, I realized it is a little short. It hits right above my knee. It has a generous hem, which I could have taken out. Except I had already serged it and cut off the excess before I tried it on. Apparently I don't know where my knees are.

Oh well. Live and learn.

(Photos courtesy of Carter, 10. Joe had left early for work and Taylor was too grumpy this morning so I didn't bother to ask him.)

You are so slim and that helps. I wish I could wear a dress like this, but I am short and stubby and would look hideous. Great job though awesome legs!!

The fabric on this dress is FABULOUS! You could always add a border to the bottom if you're worried about length.

I don't think it's too short, you have the perfect figure to carry it.

just echoing the compliments.... it doesn't look to short, but you've got to be comfortable when you're wearing it, too. ;) I like the idea of adding a band of contrast fabric at the bottom. Would totally work.

And wow, this dress is awesome. Super awesome. You did a terrific job modifying it!

When you said too short I was picturing mid thigh (would look great with go go boots, though!). Its not too short and as long as you are comfortable wearing it, it looks great! Love the fabric. I just found out that our local thrift (the one I've been finding all of that pyrex at) has a whole vintage clothing section. Its AMAZING! Just wish it were a little closer :)
