It's Off!

The pink cast is off.

She is sad in the top photo because on the very last cut to remove the cast, her inner thigh was cut. She screamed. (I had to crop out some of that photo to keep her modest in her skirt.)

The doctor said she probably wouldn't walk for two days. She wouldn't bear weight on it and if she did (like when I accidentally bumped into, which forced her weight to shift onto her boo-boo leg), she would cry. She is walking a little bit now. A little on her toes. A little with her foot and knee turned outward. The doctor said she would walk funny for ten days.

Last night she celebrated with a bath with pink water and bubbles.

And, apparently, I learned last night that (while I was fixing dinner), she celebrated a little more: she walked to the trampoline and tried to jump! I was not privy to that information until bedtime. And I gasped. And I told her to please not jump anymore for a while. Until mama's heart can heal.

She'll be back to her little self in no time. And yes, little miss, stay away from the trampoline!

Aidin had a pink bath on Sunday too, but it was due to the red hairspray in her Pippi hair. Yikes!

Yikes about the cutting her leg part. Ow.

When I was a kid you could buy these packets of bath powder that would make bubbles and turn your bath water colors. They came in blue, green, yellow and pink. Do you remember those?

how exciting to get it off! It took me a while to get the nerve up to walk after I got my cast off! I hope she does well with it!

Good job little one - your pink bath is well deserved :)

And, right on Lera for rewarding your babes with such fun things like pink bubble baths - that is my kind of celebration!

It's taken me half an hour to catch up on all your posts. So Ouch, and I'm glad Spenser is now out of her cast. Although she did look good in pink. Happy belated birthdays to Sawyer and yourself. And yes, you look like a girl Sawyer in the one photo.
Yay for Spenser! She has been a brave girl through it all and so have you.

Happy Halloween!
