A Little Happier

A few things have made me happier since yesterday's grumpy post.

First, all of your kind words and comments. Thank you! I know I should just 'relax,' and I am trying ... please bear with me.

Then, my shoes arrived from Zappos. I bought these for myself using birthday money I received. I am thinking this is the most I have ever paid for shoes, but they are worth it!

Even Spenser agrees!

Then I treated myself to a piece of birthday cheesecake (after lunch) and a Bergers cookie (after dinner). And I wonder why I can't lose my girth!

This is a Bergers cookie. A cookie with a layer of fudge on the top. These are truly "Baltimore." You can only eat one because they are so rich.

And this morning I tried on a pair of "fat" (capri-length) jeans. They fit! Last week they didn't fit. So I now have a 'new' pair of bottoms to wear on my bottom. As long as it's not too cold outside, I can slide by with these for now.

i think you need a pair of brown courdoroy trousers to wear with those cute green shoes.

I agree with the brown courdoroy... I am actually looking for an orange tweedish fabric for a skirt that I have in my mind!!!!
Yeah for your "new" bottoms!!! Excellent work.....
closing pillows... wish me luck!!!

Rockin shoes, mama! You know I love green...

Spencer - so cute! I hope she's doing better with not being the baby anymore!

Green's my favorite color, and your new shoes totally rock my world! I love Berger cookies! It's really weird, too, because I don't particularly care for chocolate, but those cookies...they get me every time. 1 Berger cookie + 1 big tall, glass of milk = happiness

Just keep nursing that baby and it will keep coming off, you'll see. Now I wouldn't just say that to anybody because I know this isn't the norm for everyone, but you weren't so heavy to begin with, so I feel comfortable saying it to you. I'm glad you're feeling better. Isn't it funny how shoes can do that for you?

Who wouldn't love those shoes! Love the color. Wow, six kids. Can't be easy. I've got 4, 3 boys and 1 girl. I'm almost done with nursing my last baby who just turned a year old in September. Yeah! Nursing definitely has it's good and bad points. But I have to say that it has mostly been good.
You have a great day now!
