Easter Duds

I did it. I made ties for all of my boys (including Joe) in time for Easter. Sawyer had matching pants and a tie, in this fashion appliqued to his onesie (thanks to Capello and Lori for pointing me in that direction). I used a light blue fabric with small, white, random polka dots.

Spenser had an A-line dress with cap sleeves (Simplicity 4557) and matching panties (Simplicity 5374). The dress totally reminds me of those cute Japanese dresses, although you really can't tell in this photo.

And I had a skirt to match Spenser's dress (and we had matching headbands). The fabric from Spenser's dress, my skirt, and our headbands was the Simply Shabby Chic cotton shower curtain I picked up while thrifting for 95 cents. (Sorry for that pix of me, but it was the only in-focus photo of my skirt.)

What a clan! They are so cute as are their coordinating outfits. I can't believe you managed to get all those ties, a dress and a skirt for you made! I couldn't even finish Isaiah's jacket.

You are my hero! hahah

(i had a pattern and a thrifted sheet all picked out to make a skirt for me - that obviously didn't happen, oh well!)

I'm in awe that you all got matching outfits for Easter! I barely got the Easter baskets done Saturday night lol. Thanks for the comment on my blog! You really did a great job on those ties, dress and skirt. Seriously pretty. Sweet pic of your kiddos! How on earth do you have time to sew when you have 6 kids so young? Seriously...I'd love to have some pointers with my three.

I'm impressed! And inspired! I hadn't thought about shower curtains as fabric before. Learn something new everyday. THANKS!

You're simply incredible, Lera. How you're able to MAKE everyone's outfits (including the really friggen cute appliqued onsie for the wee one) AND your own AND get everyone (minus Joe?) on the couch all clean and tidy is a feat no one should approach without extreme skills.

Plus, a 95 cent thrift repurposed into all that?

Amazing woman. Simply amazing. Happy Easter!
