The Boy With His Own Style

Carter started trumpet lessons this fall. Last night was his band concert. I told him to go put on his church suit (which was thrifted earlier this year) and boots (the cowboy boots he wears to church every Sunday). When we hopped out of the car to go into school, Joe noticed he wasn't wearing his boots, but

his beloved Chucks instead.

It was a nice concert. If you like listening to beginner instrumental music. And it was a tad bit long. Over an hour and 15 minutes. But we got to watch him play a few songs. In his suit and Chucks.

I think his outfit looks pretty cool! I know what you mean about those school concerts being long. Or do they just seem long? LOL! Clint played cello in the school orchestra for 7 years so I have definitely been to my share of concerts (and music lessons). Oh well, those are the things memories are made of.! Merry Christmas to you and the family!

Love the chucks with the suit. Very musician like. Alyssa played trumpet and french horn. I can tell you the concerts do get more enjoyable as their skills improve. By the time Alyssa was in high school, I actually looked forward to them and now that she's out, I miss them.

So glad my kids don't read your blog! They are desperate for chucks! They form part of a "style" my kids hanker after!!!

He looks AWESOME!!
Do you mean to say that the beginner band (the SAME band) played for 1 hour and 15 minutes? That is a LONG time. God bless you!!
