The Day

Started with a baptism ...

(Here is Jackson, just after his baptism. Still a little wet. And sweet as can be.)

then a birthday party ...

and ended with friends and eating
(and mama running on the treadmill after eating four pieces of angel food cake).

He had the perfect day.

The party was much, much better than last year. There was no couch flippage. But, it was a little loud (one child was extremely loud). The same kid told me he wasn't going to decorate his house because he had barfed the night before and the morning of ... Nice. (Why do parents do that?) If we all get the pukie germs, that kid will never be invited back ... And you think I'm joking. But I'm absolutely not.

What a fabulous day! And yeah, I wouldn't invite the child back either, if everyone gets sick... and yes, I'm the mom that keeps my kids home from primary when their noses run!

glad the day went well! I am glad I got to do one baptism 'dress' - the other 2 will do the suit thing, too! He looks so grown up!

Congrats on the baptism!! He's a lucky boy to have a whole day dedicated to him with the baptism and the party. And what a great idea for a party! Kids and candy. :)

Who sends a puking kid to a birthday party??????

Seriously, I might have been on the phone right then to have his mother come collect him. That's totally disrespectful, rude and disgusting.

He's so cute. Congratulations Jackson. We had a mom bring her child to bible school last year after he had thrown up in the car on the way there. Several people I know caught it, including my daughter, later that week. So sad for the children that their parents are so desparate to be rid of them. I wouldn't invite him back because she's likely to send him sick again.

oh, those parents are NOT NICE to have sent a sick kid to your party. WHY on earth would they do that???!??!!? that just isn't right.

and your boy looks so so sweet!

Eight year olds are so cool! (My youngest turned 8 in October!)

That mum was definitely not cool. So discourteous to send a sick child. Makes you wonder what she was thinking! Hope you are all well and stay well.

Congrats Jackson! And happy birthday! What a super day.

He couldn't be any more adorable. Man, Lera, your kids... just so stinkin cute.

Oh, I hope you guys don't get sick. (What a dumb parental move. Sheesh.)
