Holiday Pendants

I couldn't resist a little candy cane pendant for myself. Which means

a little girl needed one, too.

And I have an extra one. To give away.

If you would like a chance to win this candy cane pendant, leave a comment. And, if you will, tell me your favorite holiday song. It doesn't matter which holiday it is. Any old song will do.

My favorite holiday song(s)? Well, it would be Mary's Boy Child by Boney M (go watch that video and laugh with me over that man's skinny legs!). Oh, and I have an A cappella version of Let Me Call You Sweetheart that I like, too. And I really like this Christmas album. It's different, but I love it.

Leave a comment on this post by Sunday evening and I'll randomly pick a winner. Good luck.

Congratulations lucky #16 (the number randomly picked by Taylor)! Martha, please email me your address and I'll pop the pendant in the mail!

Keep your eyes open for another giveaway later in the week.

What a cute necklace. Thanks for the giveaway. My favorite Christmas song is Little Drummer Boy. I don't really know why, but I just love it. My radio station is currently playing a new version of it by Mandeesa that I think rocks.

I love the necklaces. My favorite is "Mary did you know" sung by Kenny Rogers and Wynonna Judd. It's a beautiful song.

I NEED one of those. ASAP. Don't enter me in the contest though, because I have the stuff and I can make my own.

I'll tell you my favourite Christmas song anyways. It's "Grownup Christmas List". Makes me teary every time I hear it!

Look at you go with the candy canes. :)
We sat and sang carols last night by the Christmas tree. My favorite carol is We Three Kings, but I also love the sweet sadness of Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.... oh, come on, let's face it... I love most Christmas songs.
I'm off to carol sing with the Brownies at a nursing home this afternoon. Have a great weekend, Lera!

That necklace is super cute!

Oh, how cute is that?! Love it.

Favorite holiday song of all time: Carol of the Bells. There's an instrumental version (by Boston Pops Symphony Orchestra, I THINK) that makes me re-think my life choices every time I hear it - maybe i WAS meant to be a famous orchestra conductor!

Love the pendant! Ok, so I'm a little bit redneck, but my favorite holiday song is "Grandma Got Ranover by a Reindeer". Can't help it. Doesn't feel like Christmas until I hear that song! As for a serious song, I'd have to go with Little Drummer Boy. Have always loved that song and the church I grew up in used to sing it at midnight mass every year.

I'm a sucker for "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" and "I'll Be Home for Christmas." I guess I like melancholy!

Bruce Springstein singing Santa Clause is Coming to Town gets me in the spirit. I also love any version of the Little Drummer Boy.

Lera,
My favorite Christmas song is Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, but the one sung by Rowlf the dog from the Muppets. It makes me cry a little each time.

Picking a favorite Christmas song is like picking a favorite child. Impossible. I did hear a couple of "new to me" ones lately, though, that I really liked. One is "A Baby Changes Everything" by Faith Hill and the other is Sarah McLachlan's "O Little Town of Bethlehem."

I love Reliant K's version of Angels we have heard on high, and Sleigh bells.

Lera,

Cute pendants! I loved the ornaments too! So hard to pick a favorite, but I think my current one is In the Bleak Midwinter. Sentimental favorite. I love the Forgotten Carols too. :)

Also, I think I got the stomach flu from your blog again. That kid.

Hope you're all well!

Oh fun! I must say that my all time favorite is Silent Night - a lullaby to my children this time of year. My son actually calls it my song (guess I sing it too much!)

Any way, I'm REALLY digging the new Six Pence None the Richer/Jars of Clay version this year. It brought tears to my eyes the first time I heard it. GORGEOUS.

You can play the video and hear it if you scroll down a little on this webpage:

Those are too cute!

I love Winter Wonderland with Dolly Parton.

I love them all, the less common the better, especially lovely old hymns. But I'm nominating the very secular "Silver Bells" ("It's Christmastime in the city") because I found out only a few years ago that it was my grandma's absolute favorite Christmas song. And it reminds me of going to NYC for Christmas last year, which was the best time ever. Bumpkins in the big city. It was great.

Very cute pendant! I love it!

My favorite Christmas song is probably "Christmas Shoes". I love that song.

My favorite holiday song is "Grandma got run over by a reindeer walking home on Christmas Eve". It doesn't matter how many times I hear it, it makes me laugh anyway :o)

Hmmmmm...let me think....I can only pick one??? I have so many....
I love the song, "My Grown Up Christmas List" by any one that wants to sing it. I also enjoy, "Where are you Christmas" by Faith Hill. I just love all Christmas songs...I listen to them constantly.

"I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" and "Mary did you know" are my faves.

Josh Groban's O Holy Night is absolutely beautiful. Steven Curtis Chapman's All I Really Want For Christmas is a tear-jerker in the best possible way. And for laughs, Straight No Chaser's 12 Days of Christmas is the best.

Great pendants! I'm enjoying your new takes on seasonal themes. Also, the way you manage to craft for, laugh with, and generally care for your family is inspiring to me. If you can sew with six kids, surely I can do at least a bit of sewing with just two...right? :-)

My favorite Christmas song is O Holy night, and my favorite version is by a Canadian singer named Roch Voisine, very beautiful.

I love so many! I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day and Far Far Away On Judea's Plains. I love Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas Too!

Beautiful pendents! My favorite song is "Rocking Around the Christmas Tree." It makes me want to uh.. rock around the Christmas tree. :D

This might be a little irreverent (sorry, sincere lovers of this song!), but my husband and I LOOOOVE the most awfullest Christmas song ever, "Christmas Shoes." It's schmaltzy, privileges consumerism, paints the narrator as incredibly smug for a very small act of charity, provides an at-best non-canonical take on Christianity, and stereotypes the poor as dirty and as poorly supervising their children.

See? It's AWESOME!

I love your pendants!!!

my favorite Christmas carol is What Child Is This? We sang it in church this morning. I have an "in" with the worship leader. :)

Beautiful as always! I love the "Little Drummer Boy." Now I am going to be singing it all day! :)
