Thank Goodness it's Friday ?

There is no school today for the three older boys ... yipee for me! (just teasing)




Taylor was playing with the camera this morning and when I downloaded the pictures, I found this one of Taylor and Spenser (taken by Taylor). It cracks me up!



Here are two pictures of my littlest man, Sawyer. He is finally big enough to fit into his onesies. Yay for growing baby!



And this morning was his "first bath." (His umbilical cord fell off last week, but the belly button was looking a little oozy, so I opted to wait for a few more days.) He hates water in his face and getting dressed and undressed. Luckily I snapped this picture before I washed his face. It went downhill from there!

And yesterday at school, the 2nd grade had a "pajama party." They earned this party for good behavior in the cafeteria, hallways, etc. So, Carter (who did not want his picture taken) wore his Incredibles pajamas.



And this weekend I will try to sew something. I originally bought 2 yards of brown corduroy to make a new skirt to match these stripey tights I bought.

Now I think I am going to make a pair of pants, using my pajama bottom pattern (with a drawstring waist). The problem is that I don't have enough corduroy to make pants. Jo-Ann is having a big sale (starting today) and I plan return and buy more brown corduroy. Hopefully my plan will work and I will be sporting a new pair of "pants" by next week. To wear with my new shoes, of course!

That is such a cute one of Sawyer in the bath! Taylor and Spenser look cute too. Taylor looks a lot like Erik in that photo. lol

Reusable Swiffer WetJet Cloths

I promised myself that, when I bought a box of Swiffer WetJet refills at the wholesale club, it would be the last box I bought. Something had to be done. Now, to be honest, part of the reason was to help the environment, but the other part was because I was tired of running out of those darn things. I took some towels, folded them in half cut them into 5" widths. (The towel was just about 25" or so from side to side when flat.) Then I cut two 5" pieces of elastic and serged it all together. Two layers of toweling and two elastic strips. That's it. (The finished piece was approximately 4.75" x 12.") Within minutes I had a stack of eight. Slide them on and mop away. You will have a clean floor and have saved one more thing from ending up in the landfill. Now, if I can just do something about the cleaning liquid ... Something environmentally-friendly, economical, and won't cause further pain to my arthritic back.

Thrifted Chair

Before ... a $10 thrifted chair ... After ... 1 1/2 cans of spray paint and a little cotton batting and fabric and a staple gun later ... I used Alexander Henry's Sunny Side fabric for the seat. I love the contrast of the red, black and white. Can you say oh yeah ??
