It's Baaaaaaack ....

Yes ... it is!

I was about to report no sightings or sounds of noises coming from my A/C vent (since my original post), but then I heard it!!!

It sounds like a bird. I think I heard some wing flapping going on down there. I didn't close the vent this time, just covered it with a toy. Same vent, by the way. Oh crud! It's going crazy in there! I'm going crazy out here!! It's trying to get out! I can hear it thumping and flapping and scratching!

I didn't feel well this morning, so I didn't go to church. Joe took all the children, and because I am a big scaredy cat I'm dying here alone!

Joe didn't get home from work on Friday until after 8 pm. Then he had to work yesterday and didn't get home until after 7 pm. He hasn't had time to investigate, but in all fairness, I have not heard anything since Friday.

I think I'm getting crampy now ...

Reusable Swiffer WetJet Cloths

I promised myself that, when I bought a box of Swiffer WetJet refills at the wholesale club, it would be the last box I bought. Something had to be done. Now, to be honest, part of the reason was to help the environment, but the other part was because I was tired of running out of those darn things. I took some towels, folded them in half cut them into 5" widths. (The towel was just about 25" or so from side to side when flat.) Then I cut two 5" pieces of elastic and serged it all together. Two layers of toweling and two elastic strips. That's it. (The finished piece was approximately 4.75" x 12.") Within minutes I had a stack of eight. Slide them on and mop away. You will have a clean floor and have saved one more thing from ending up in the landfill. Now, if I can just do something about the cleaning liquid ... Something environmentally-friendly, economical, and won't cause further pain to my arthritic back.

Thrifted Chair

Before ... a $10 thrifted chair ... After ... 1 1/2 cans of spray paint and a little cotton batting and fabric and a staple gun later ... I used Alexander Henry's Sunny Side fabric for the seat. I love the contrast of the red, black and white. Can you say oh yeah ??
