First Day of School

It's the first day of school. At long last. Four in school: Taylor (5th grade), Carter (3rd), Jackson (1st) and Mason (kindergarten ... full day). A birthday boy one day. Kindergartner the next.
I ashamedly admit that when the bus pulled away, I "woo-hoo"ed loudly as I walked back home. Of course with a giant smile plastered on my face.

It was a long summer. With lots of boy energy.

Now it's just me, Spenser and Sawyer at home. Only two! And it's quiet. And peaceful. Ahhhhh. I could get used to this. Do I have plans ...

(Of course, every morning that starts with school ends with an afternoon of tired, grumpy, full-of-pent-up-energy boys. The hard part of the day will be around 3:45 p.m. Wish me luck.)

Yay school! You should have some quiet time today, when they both go down for naps. ;)

I would be grinning ear to ear, also. That after school grumpy stuff is HORRIBLE. That really threw me last year. I am dreading it already and hoping that it just may possibly be a little bit better this year.

the photo of the boys is adorable.

Girl, I don't blame you - I'd be wahoo'ing too! Even with my three, when one is gone is seems so much quieter and calmer. I can only imagine how your house is. Enjoy your peace.

Woooohooooo! Yea for you.

It's nice that they can all get on the bus together. At our house that would require 3!!! different buses. (At 3 different times, and with 3 different afternoon drop off times.)

I'm wahoo-ing and I only have 1 out of three gone for the day!

I agree, the after-school-grumpies are a pain, but I think the relative quiet during the day makes up for it!

Happy first day of school!

Wahoo! Wahoo!!! Aren't the few hours of piece with only two of them worth the 3:45 grumpiness? How exciting!

Woo Hoo. Love that Jackson and Mason are wearing the same outfit.

I'll have a cup of tea and a biscuit for you at 4pm. You'll probably need it by then!

If I don't have after school snacks things get ugly around here.

My youngest is 8, so all of mine go off to school every day. It is not just quiet around here, but silent. Ahhh.

Just noticed the trips to the school nurse list that you have in your sidebar! That is a lot of energy to have around all summer, I don't blame you for being a bit happy that school has started! :)
